Hi all and happy new year

I'm quite new to web programming and definitely new to DynAPI.

I want to thank all those involved to DynAPI development
and documentation and especially Dan Steinman.
To the point...

I agree with Doug. I wish I had a stand-alone RAD tool based on DynAPI.
Studing the tutorials (many thanks Pascal) I thought I was
studing Petzold's "Windows programming" where all you need/have
to code an app is the header files and a compiler.

That's a nice approach and I've nothing against to it.
But I personally (and many others I believe) need/prefer
a what-is-called Rapid Application Development tool.
Something similar to Delphi, Visual Basic, C++Builder etc.
An object oriented tool making extensive use of the
event handlers and class methods/properties.

>From what I've seen so far studing the DynAPI, I can say
it's possible to be done. Not easy but possible. Unfortunatelly
my knowledge on DynAPI and web programming in general is limited.
So I don't dare to do it all alone. But I'm ready to participate
in any effort targeting in tool like that.

I tried many tools (FrontPage, UltraDev, etc) so far. None of them
has a library-driven logic incorporated. All those
tools/code generators write code which frequently is
hard to manage/maintain/modify. In some cases I've seen
totally useless code added to my pages. I'm a coder
and I want total control over my_code.

I have five years experience with Delphi. I use C++Builder
and Visual Basic too. I don't have too much spare time
but I'm sure I could contribute to a project like that.

Best regards
Theo
