I've seen very few examples of webapps done in DynAPI at all, though I thought this
was what DynAPI was built for - at least as interface. (I guess it might have
something to do with the stability and the lack of certain widgets)
Anyway, the game Pascal has linked on his site is the closets to a chess program
though I don't think it was done in DynAPI (or am I mistaken?). The next thing would
be Razor, also at dynamic-core.net - that is a webapp - but have slim similarities
else with a boardgame.
I do think though that the moving of pieces and so can be done pretty easy. Its
invoking the ruleset that might be troublesome...
