No but you can fake it if you add another 'content' layer, set the original layer's HTML to have the image in a big <img width=layer's width tag and then write your HTML into the content layer. That could be a simple widget to start with. Overwrite setHTML to write to the content layer instead of the parent layer and add a setBigBackgroundImage() method.
