I am afraid I may not be understanding your question then...

After you add your layers... (DynAPI.document.addChild....),

call, 

document.width = x;
document.height = y;

where x and y equal your calculations.

Well, after you place all of your layers on the page calculate how much
vertical and horizontal space they take up then use those methods.
