all the images togeather are under 100k.. the background is the biggest...
so size shouldent be a huge thing, I just havent carved the interface yet.
I will look into the interface error. guess I should install netscape =:)
does any one have an idea about the focus with keypress problem? its driving
me crazy! if I cant figure this out I may force the players to use
up/down/left/right arrows that have to be clicked on to move, but that would
slow things down a bit.
Today I am going to work on making the map load from the database (the
ground at least) so please try back and tell me what you think tonight
(after 8pm PST), the select char screen is just a temp fix till I get to
storing player info in the database with logins/passwords.
those in IE, were you all able to see the ground after you selected your
char?
Thank you,
Terry

Couldn't really get it to run here at work (slow connection and I might
clicked a layer :)
but one ideas crawled into my mind while waiting for all tiles to show:
- why not create one big image for the map?
it loads faster and can contain more detail (and uses less resources)..
you could use a simple collision array for any map objects that can't be
walked on/over
just a thought (oh and ignore Jordi.. he has worked to much with Flash and
is not thinking straight ;)
