If my DynAPI script is loading a CGI call to a LoadPanel, and this call will
take some time to load, is there any way to obtain the status of the load
process? It would be nice to be able to inform the user how things are
going.
I ask this question based on the fact that when loading a page to a browser,
the browser itself is able to show the status, whether graphically or
numerically, of the loading process.
Thanks,
Hershel
PS: If anyone is interested, I do have solutions to:
1 Sending large amounts of data to CGI via a FORM and a FRAME (i.e. more
data than a URL can handle)
2 Displaying a Please Wait window with an active status bar indicating the
percent of processing completed while the JavaScript engine processes a long
script.
(Both tested only in IE5.5. That's what my boss uses, so that's all I'm
using for now :) )
