I've seen this as well. I'm not sure exactly why it happens, but I suspect
that clicking on the second link aborts the loading of the first document,
which in turn blocks the loadqueue, and then stops anything else from
loading.
I've played around with this a little bit, and didn't really find a reliable
solution. I'm not sure if it's the browser killing the loading, or if it's
something in the loadpanel. You could try having a blank link (like
href="#") or something, and see if that kills the loadpanel, that would tell
you that it's the browser. if not, it's probably something in the loadpanel.
LoadPanel seems to get around this problem in Netscape by capturing all
mouse events while something is loading, so users can't click on the second
link until the loadpanel has finished. But this is quite undesirable if you
are loading something large into the loadpanel, because the user has to wait
a long time before they can do anything.

... I found the same bug I have on the toloadlayer (little shit I'm making
xD) on IE55 win32 (the exacly version I have is 5.50.4522.1800IS) (may be
the problem is that shit of the IE spanish version xDDDD but I don't think
so)
To see the bug Try this open the link above and click on "file 1" and no
wait to file1 is loaded and very quickly click on "file 2" you will see that
nothing happen and that the load links stop to work... if still working try
to click on file1 then file2 then file1 ... two tree times very quickly and
the bug appear.
Someone could test that?
