I have no clue as to the intended purpose of "dbltimer", it's probably a
lost fragment that long ago had a "special purpose". The reason it only
happens in NS and other platforms is that it screens for them.
The only problem is,... as its screening to fix a "mystery bug" it actually
causes a bug.
Synopsis: Remove the vile thing!

Subject: [Dynapi-Help] mouse.js
As seen in
http://dynapi.sourceforge.net/snapshot/src/dynapi/examples/dynapi.event.drag
event.html,
but happens when ever there is a mouse down event.
when you click down on the red box an alert box pops up explaining there
is an error in mouse.js on line 128.
(is.ns4 && is.platform=="other" && type=="mousedown") {
if (this.dbltimer!=null) {
...
}
else this.dbltimer=setTimeout(this+'.dbltimer=null',300); //LINE 128
}
As you can see, this only happens for ns4 and other platforms.
Once the mouse is clicked down, this error does not show up. If you
comment out line 128 the error does not happen, but what are the effects
of that? What does dbltimer do?
The past few releases has had this error in it so I thought I would see
if anyone else has gotten this error.
Thanks,
Matt
