That's pretty hard-core..
I'm also looking at the .htt files which are user to 'customize your folder'.

Hi Doug,
I also have these enlightened moments when I say - hey I never knew you could do that!
One was when I found the power of .hta's, also on a windows platform, they are full programs, where the logic is programmed in javascipt (or vbscript), and the interface in html. They don't have the restrictions that html pages have, so you can read/write to the local disk etc.
It means you can use DynAPI to design your application front-end, but with the power of any VB application.
It's just a shame there's not much information out there on them.
If you want you can checkout a test application I made here:

It connects to the internet to check which of my friends are online with their ICQ, and displays US/EU time( with a bug sometimes).
It includes an installer / uninstaller and all is done with DynAPI (except the installer of course), it copies the DynAPI libraries to the install directory. Just open the .hta in your editor to see the source-code.
If you wanted to do the same thing in VB, you would be looking at a lot of code/OCX's to get your app chromeless, draggable by background, connecting to the internet, not showing in the taskbar, etc, while here it wasn't that hard, just one page of code.

I can verify it is virus/trojan free, but be careful with .hta files, they are often abused.

Richard.

I just puta dynapi page into my desktop.
What I mean is that Using active desktop,
I was able to embed a DynAPI document into my Desktop.

It's REALLY cool..
