If you mean that nav bar on the left, then maybe this could be adapted to suit? I think using DynAPI just to do a simple navbar would be overkill -   http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/favbar/fav2.html (not sure about Mozilla support - haven't tried it, but it's a start :)   I haven't played with it much, but I think it does basically the same thing.
