I have the required Java code as part of the local.js file in the AfroAPI.
it is using liveconnect in NS. Also, IE has support for a standard
AxtiveX method of saving files to the local file system.

I am now prepared to go as far as using a java applet..While normally I would avoid this as MAC IE can't do JS <-> java communication, this is not a problem:the applet would be loaded into a page prepared by JS to contain all the info it needs to create and save the file. What I need to know is:Is there an applet already that does this? How do I ask the user for security rights? If there is no applet already, I will trade work hour-for-hour with the person willing to do this. I like to think that I am an accomplished Client-Server/B2B/B2C developer as well as having MAD VB(Visual Basic) skills, and a good head for User interface layout and design. Doug Melvin --
