This I realize is theoretically true and it is what I was *hoping* would
happen.  In the script I have online, however, it is not quite working that
way as far as I can tell.

My last post was mildly confusing.  What is happening is that if the HTML is
wider than the DynLayer, getContentWidth() returns the correct value.  If,
however, the HTML is thinner, then I seem to get the wrong value.

If anyone can assist me, the relevant code and the URL are in my previous
post.  You will see there that you can enter the HTML into a TEXTAREA box
and test the functionality yourself.
