Hi guys,

Opera6 beta is out, for those who missed it:

http://www.opera.com/pressreleases/20011113.html

LiveConnect
Opera now has support for LiveConnect, to enable scripting of Java applets
and plug-ins through JavaScript.

Standards-Compliance
Opera continues its commitment to the standards as laid out by the W3C.
Opera 6.0 for Windows supports the following technologies: 128-bit
encryption, TLS 1.0, SSL 2 and 3, CSS1 and partial CSS2, XML, HTML 4.01,
HTTP 1.1, ECMAScript, JavaScript 1.3, WAP/WML and partial support for DOM.

It's a slow bugger to use, and still doesn't work with dynapi, but I
reckoned the dom/javascript problems might be solved.
A quick Google search brought me... To Pascal's site:

http://www.dynamic-core.net/

Seems he's not so keen on Opera 6, to say the least :o)

<quotes>

...we're using DYNAMIC HTML NOW! that means we use a scripting language
called Javascript (you might know it)...

...please read the W3C DOM Standards again...

...it's all in the W3C standards, just read it for once...

WAKE UP OR LEAVE THE BROWSER DEVELOPMENT ALONE!

</quote>

No, I don't get the impression the problems have been solved yet :o)

Richard.
