just speaking up for the lurker, yes you will lose most of us with a move to yahoo or some other mail entity. Lets get real folks, SF provides some nice exposure for the DynApi project in addition to all the other perks Richard already mentioned. If it ain't broke don't fix it, and in this case it ain't broke enough to justify a fix...

Iam afraid i agree with Richard, we really dont need to add more confusion to this project, plus all roads lead to here like the website, doc center,sf site, etc meaning all those links would have to be changed, we would lose a lot of lurkers, and i sure dont feel like looking at tons of adverts and spam while reading the mail and iam sure you dont too, at least our email addresses are reasnobly safe at sf, yahoo groups is awful, just an poor excuse for them to deliver trash to my retinas, seems a bit drastic to change everything around all for the sake of not pressing "reply all" on your message which replies to all recipients anyway if your email prog doesnt support "reply all" get one that does, even hotmail supports that >From: "Richard Bennett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "Raymond Irving" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "DynApi-Help" ><[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: [Dynapi-Help] Mailing List issues. >Date: Wed, 10 Oct 2001 21:30:33 +0200 > >I think it's Jordi's call. >I'm on the SVG developers list, which is hosted by Yahoo groups (in >preference to w3c or adobe servers), and I must say it's a lot faster than >SF. >The files area is useful too, and all reply functions work as they should. > >On the other-hand, we don't want to do away with SF entirely, as the >website, and CVS and daily-builds etc are all here. > >I'm not sure what's best though, by moving we might dilute the already >sparse Dynapi developer community even more, in which case it might be >best >to "grin and bear it". > >Richard. > > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Raymond Irving" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "DynApi-Help" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2001 9:02 PM >Subject: RE: [Dynapi-Help] Mailing List issues. > > > > > > If we're all in agreement with creating a DynAPI group > > @ yahoo groups, how do we go about doing so.
