Seems to me that the "Private Key" is the password, or is what the
password should be. If the user knew the private key he would use that
as the password.
SO the problem is: given a password can you make that a private key for
some public key; or derive a public key to use with this password, so
the user can pick his own private key. The server would encrypt using
the public key derived from it. (impossible?)
