Apologies to all if this is a little off topic but I figured if anyone could provide an answer this list might...
has anyone come across a way of finding the type of a variable, ie if parseFloat() is likely to return NaN??? the reason being I'm most of the way through doing a grid control in dynapi and I can get the sorting working on strings OR numbers but can't find a way of telling if the contents are one or tother.
