I agree with most of Shortie's points. This release, however, is not meant to replace the official version but to start a new developing branch were new ideas can be testes and played with ( as it happens with most of the Open Source projects aout there.)
The current branch is not being dropped nor discontinued ( I'll take care of it myself ) so don't worry about older code becoming absolete or useless. It won't. --- Dan, keep in mind that sometimes people prefer 'uglier' code they are used to and has been proven solid rather that switching and learning some new one that promises to be better. While trying new things may be fun to you, and me, and many others, most people don't feel the same way. After all, the users of this library are not us the main developers ( our skills allow us to do our DHTML without any externel help ) but other people with less knowledge or people working in other fiels which use this API to make their work easier, not as a coding playground. This doesn't mean I'm against this new branch, I'm just trying to protect the thousands of silent users in this project. _______________________________________________ Dynapi-Help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dynapi-help
