Hi, Does anyone know of a bug that causes pages in Netscape 4.x to disappear?
It's weird. When I load my page (which uses javascript and css - of course) and click on a button that dynamically creates a link, I'm taken to the new page, but when I click the back button, my page disappears. I click the reload button, but it still doesn't come up. BUT, when I click into the location box and hit the enter key to load the page, it does come up. There's something else. When I view the source before I click the button, the code is fine. But when I go back to the page after I've left it, I look at the source and it has an added carriage return (or line break - whatever you want to call it) in the middle of the code. So, of course, my code breaks. I've also read somewhere that Netscape has an incomplete implementation of... something. I can't remember what. But it left me with the feeling that I should be using the layer tag instead of div.
