That may be possible, using an 'onfocus' event for the ListItem's pattern.
Supposedly 'onfocus' is available for text elements as well as form
elements.
In the onfocus handler use the list's select(item) method.
Perhaps I'll try it when I have time...
This is fun wish I could make a living off it.
