Kanske en liknande model skulle få lite fart på på kommunernas interaktivitet med
medborgarna???

Technology Opportunities and Ideas - E-Democracy.Org

Are your ideals about the use of the Internet in democracy,
community, and politics being compromised by "politics as usual"
online?

Keep your day job, but read on if you are interested in using your
skills to lift yourself out of this politics/government/media online
purgatory. It is time to be excited again about the difference you
can make with this new medium and democratic intent and actions.

Over the last nine years, E-Democracy.Org has developed its
non-partisan approach to facilitating public issue discussions among
citizens (primarily in local communities - http://e-democracy.org)
and we've promoted election information use through easy to use link
directories http://e-democracy.us and our http://MyBallot.Net
project.

As we gear up for our second decade of activity, we are updating our
mission, objectives, and technology.

This all started when we were approach by some folks in Chicago who
are now working to start up a local E-Democracy Chapter. The more we
think about it, the more excited we are about helping active citizens
_anywhere_ become part of our effort. We are exploring ways to help
them build an effective public issues forums that are "of, for, and
by" their local community.

We need better technology to support our forums, future local
chapters, and the many big ideas we are generating. Volunteers of all
sorts are welcome. At this stage, those with technical skills and a
reasonable amount of time to complete various projects are
particularly needed.

Read up on our identified needs and ideas at:

    http://www.e-democracy.org/center/technology.html

The table of contents from that page:

1. Tweaks and Tools
2. Key Election 2004 Needs
3. eWeb - Usable e-mail web archives, future discussion platform
4. Content Management System - E-Democracy 2.0 Site Redesign
5. Local Chapter Technology Platform
6. Citizen Net - Global Directory of Local Links for Citizens

The eWeb idea has a dedicated page with supporting links:

     http://www.e-democracy.org/center/eweb.html

We need to provide highly usable access to our e-mail-based
discussions via the web. The dynamic participation of thousands of
citizens in our forums is not easy for non-subscribers to experience.
During speeches when I demonstrate in real-time what people are
talking about, the audience becomes quite engaged and excited. We
need the web to help us generate that kind of citizen enthusiasm for
the idea that they could not imagine their local democracy without a
viable local online public issues forum in the future. We also need
better web-views for a host of other reasons described at the link
above.

skills and the volunteer projects that interest you most:
