Actually, I went in to the original file "____lcars_pre_12_24_97" and tried
to untar it (on the rasterman.com server):

[mark@sargon themeballs]$ tar ztvf ____lcars_pre_12_24_97 

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
tar: Child returned status 1

I think the pre_12_24_97 themeball must be messed up.
