As an additional data point, I can say that here E sometimes (not always)
hard-locks the entire machines (as in, doesn't respond to telnet) with nice
stripey lines...
That's on i586-Linux-2.0.33-Debian 2.0-XF86_S3V-3.3.2.1
But since 14 is nearly here, I'll worry about it when that comes out :)
