I think it is due to the plethora of fraud which has suddenly become so
prevalent recently.
I think you will find that most Market Makers (myself included) will accept
wired funds and that is actually faster than cheques and money orders.
As for credit card, I know that at least three Market Makers will be able
to offer this service within a couple of months due to current negotiations
(again including myself).
