This came as a surprise to me a few minutes ago.

I have a friend in Singapore that had sent gold-age an order, (pasted below). James has spent $99 to them and has sent them emails with no reply.

my question would be why is there problems like this. It seems that goldage accepted and charged his credit card as you will notice below but they seem to be having a MAJOR problem to credit his egold account.

I may be missing something here but if I was to charge a credit card in order to fund a egold account, I would fund that account unless I had no intentions too do so. This is not a good way to do business.

I can understand that there may be a problem with the e-gold servers once in a while but please, give me a break. We are talking since November 16th here and there were several emails sent by James regarding this.

If anyone has any ideas as how to handle this, please advise to the list and also to my self and to James as his email is also included.

In the last email below, goldage states that they are not taking credit cards anymore. If this is the case, and this is dated Dec 5th, then why has it taken them so long to make this statement without funding James's e-gold account.

Come on Peter, if $99 is too much for you, why not send me an email and I will gladly help you out here. I will give James the $99 if you can really not afford it even if you already got it from his credit card.

You know Peter, I really LOVE your Statement:

"Due to the extraodinary high volume of fraudulent credit card orders received, and the corresponding lackidasical attitude of credit card processing organizations that Gold-Age has been subject to; we are discontinuing our credit card processing options until certain technology and policy adoptions take place in the credit card processing industry.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank our many past credit card customers for using our credit card purchasing option. Any outstanding orders (that have not been charged back) will be filled, and any pending issues resolved"

>>>extraodinary high volume of fraudulent credit card orders received,
hmmm, by whom is my question? has there been that many???

>>>we are discontinuing our credit card processing
Well, if you are and this was dated on Dec 5th, then why have you not resolved this???

>>>Any outstanding orders (that have not been charged back) will be filled, and any pending issues resolved

Really? When? Again, this order was paid to you on Nov 16th by the bank. Look above Peter, you can check with your records that his card was charged.

Peter, FIX THIS!!! Again, if you cant, then ask me nicely and I will donat the $99 to you but I will give it to James directly.......

In Closing, I would like to wish you a Merry, well...........

MIKE

Subject: URGENT ! Re: Outstanding Credit Card Orders

Hello,

I have yet to receive the credit to my e-gold account as you have mentioned
that all outstanding orders will be fulfilled.
My credit card has been charged on 16 Nov 2000 and the reference number
is  67006204 001.

I do not know what is a chargeback or how to chargeback, this is my second
time using your service and I hope you will credit my account soon.

Below is the receipt I received and my e-gold number is 114905 (Ho's Gold).

Please advise.

Due to the extraodinary high volume of fraudulent credit card orders received, and the corresponding lackidasical attitude of credit card processing organizations that Gold-Age has been subject to; we are discontinuing our credit card
processing options until certain technology and policy adoptions take
place in the credit card processing industry.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank our many
past credit card customers for using our credit card purchasing option. Any outstanding orders (that have not been charged back) will be filled, and any pending issues resolved.

In the mean time we highly recommend that current and potential clients look into our EZCmoney option (to set up an account, goto: www.ezcmoney.com). They are very private and secure. Your personal information is given to no one, not even EZCmoney. Besides, they are more cost effective than credit card processing (we are also offering special holiday discounts on EZCmoney transactions, see our website for more info).

We also wish to apologize for any lack of response to inquiries. We really do our best to try and answer all inquires (voice, fax, and E-mail), but we have grown so quickly that this has become extremely difficult. As an example; a week could be spent doing nothing but answering E-mails 24 hr a day and we still would not be able to get through all the E-mails for one day, let alone the E-mails for the entire week (the same applies to voice and FAX).

To help remedy our customer service/response problems we are in the process of hiring and training additional personel.

Thank you all for using Gold-Age. May this year's holiday season bring you joy and success.

Parker E.C. Bradley
