The same is occurring in Australian schools, Perhaps this is a world wide concerted effort to de-education the future population to make them more amenable to governmental persuasion. But with the value of the US Dollar reducing, gold will increase ...when the cap is removed from it. India and China are the biggest buyers of gold at the moment.
