Well, that's how we did things here at GoldDirectory.com for most of last year using checking accounts at X.com. They DID close down, but others are coming to take their place; it's only a matter of time. There's really no problem with a bank allowing it's customers to send money to another customer's account, just as there is no problem with a bank allowing a customer to withdraw cash -- as long as the money has been cleared.
