Everyone,
Please excuse my interjection here, but I find this to be somewhat
characteristic of the mindset of e-gold these days.
E-gold, Ltd. is suing Charles Evans. Or is that G&SR/Omnipay is suing
Charles? (I am not too sure how the charming young daughter was brought
into this, but things do tend to snowball on lists like this.) So E-gold,
Ltd. (please correct me if it is G&SR) is suing Charles and will incur large
fees for filing the case, sending subpoenas, interviewing witnesses, etc.
There will be costs for gathering the attorneys, petitioning the courts, and
the usual mayhem that transpires in such cases. Correct?
Now, where is the irony you ask as you scratch your sweat encrusted
brow? (Put that bag of Doritos down, your staining your keyboard!) :0)
A defense fund is now growing in the currency that is actually SUING
Charles in the first place. So, while E-gold, Ltd.'s attorneys start to
rack up bills (or are the attorneys who created e-gold the one's suing and
will not be billing anyone??) Charles legal bills will be (at least
partially) paid by the people who use the currency those attorneys' created
and profit from. So, the more they sue, the more publicity the case gets,
the more sympathy will be shed on Charles, more donations to his defense,
which means this lawsuit will get ugly, drawn out, more details will come to
light about E-gold, Ltd.'s inner-workings, more sympathy for Charles, more
donations to his defense, so on and so on. This will likely go on for quite
some time. VERY interesting. I wonder if it will make it to Court TV?
"Mr. Evans, is it true that you, along with several other members of
Omnipay's staff, were terminated on what has become known as "Bloody Monday"
in October of 2000?"
"Objection your Honor. "Bloody Monday" has already been claimed by another
previous historical event."
"Sustained. Please refrain from using the term "Bloody Monday".
" How about "My GOD what have I done? Monday", your Honor?"
"Recess until we can complete a search to see if "My GOD what have I done?
Monday" is already taken. If not, I suggest you register that with
Register.com right away!"
Has anyone set up odds on the outcome or as to who will have the stamina
to see it through? Anyone from Vegas on this list? Is the lawsuit with
Systemics over yet?
My five grams are on Charles! Give'em hell! (Please excuse my use of the
word "hell" if your daughter reads this list!)
