I was recently critized for making the following comment:

        >>Didn't e-gold/GSR try to file a patent
        >>themselves? (In 95 or something?)
        >>
        >>Or am I mistaken?
        >>
        >>Does anyone know?

, rather than simply asking someone appropriate at e-gold/GSR whether
this is the case.

Mea culpa.

WHY DID I DO THIS? The simple reason is that e-gold/GSR happens to
have a policy of never releasing any information on anything, when
asked, and never answering any questions on anything, when asked.

TO BE CLEAR: I don't think this is a BAD policy, it seems very
normal/corporate and probably a reasonable legal/PR strategy ... make
every comment from a company count. I could not give a carrot that
that IS e-gold's policy, BUT, it IS e-gold's policy.

I reflexively assumed (as everyone does, on all issues) that no-one
from e-gold would answer the question, so I asked it in general.

OK.

ATTENTION E-GOLD, E-GOLD RELATED COMPANIES, AND E-GOLD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS:

I, JP MAY, AM PERSONALLY CURIOUS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT E-GOLD, E-GOLD
RELATED COMPANIES, AND/OR ANY E-GOLD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS HAVE EVER
FILED A PATENT ON DGC-LIKE TECHNOLOGY OR ANY SIMILAR FIELD SOMETIME
IN THE LAST TEN YEARS.

Feel free to answer or not answer. I'm asking openly, in public.
