>How do [they] make [their] profit in such a setup?

I just checked out their site. They are making a nice tidy sum of money
off the cards. Their profit doesn't come from the card printing fees. It
comes from the monthly service charge of US$12/month. The US$20 cost of
printing the cards can be looked at as a simple promotional expense,
especially if it attracts 'serious'/long term users.

Also, while there is no charge for POS transactions, they do charge 1%
plus Mastercard International's US$3.85 standard network fee for ATM
withdrawals. That isn't all that bad if you're withdrawing relatively
large amounts.
Withdraw $10 - fee $3.95 (~40% fee)
Withdraw $100 - fee $4.85 (~5% fee)
Withdraw $1000 - fee $13.85 (~1.4% fee)

>Anyone got experiences with this merchant?

I don't. I'm still wondering whether or not to get the card.

At least the contact information (of their holding company) provided on
the site matches the contact information provided in the domain
registration.
