I would vote for user selected currencies, with either oz or grams as default but with
the ability for users to set their permanent default to whatever they wish (probably
their local currency)

Even in this "more currencies" option I don't understand why you are thinking of using
these euro legacy currencies. You cannot put an Austrian Schilling (which will not
exist anywhere anymore) in the same category as an Australian Dollar (which exists in
cash and electronic form).

Maybe you need a "defunct currencies" option, where GBP users can select decimal
pounds and pence or pounds/shillings/pence...., or FRF users the choice between new
francs and "vieux francs"... or ESP users "resident" and "non-resident" pesetas...
and by the way only Luxembourg residents are allowed to hold LUF, others in Luxembourg
hhave to hold "foreign BEF" which is at par value to LUF under an agreement from 1929
(I think?)... :)

Believe me, if people can understand Euros then they are not ready to understand
e-gold yet.
