I just noticed that Cambist.net does not have any e-gold in reserves.  Which
let me to think that if 1mdc and cambist joined forces then there would be a
greater chance of exchangeable metal being available.

1mdc could drop backing its currency with only e-gold.  Instead claim to
back 1mdc with a combination of e-gold, GoldMoney, e-bullion etc.
Guaranteeing, that at all times, all 1mdc would be backed by a combination
of metal.  So then the 1mdc/Cambist conglomoration can use its reserve as
exchangeable metal.

1mdc can take deposits in any of the DGCs and let users withdraw for free
into that same currency or charge a percent to withdraw into a different
one.
