An important alert .... The last 24 hrs or so someone (reasonably to fairly sophisticated) has been going wild on bananagold.com!
(This seems fairly pointless, as you couldn't really steal an order in there, and ship it to an address, as your address would be known.) Naturally no one has been able to break in. Fascinatingly, I think the hackerette even has a sort of program that quickly tries a few different approaches. (You know, fake the id number, fake the amount .. etc.) As each one comes in rapid succession. Additionally, numerous other sites (that I am aware of or we did the software for) have been attempted-hacked vigorously the last couple of days. A number of market makers like Graham have reported people vigorourly trying (unsuccessfully) to put keyboard sniffers on his home computers. Other market makers and DCs have reported someone extensively trying to subvert their SCIs. The fact is: anyone running a site with anything to do with e-gold should be super careful. How good is your security? Think about each of your server's security, and your software, and your home computers, and social engineering!
