Dear Friends,

Something is very wrong. Several posts have indicated
that the cost of buying e-gold from an exchange provider
is between 5% and 18%. That's simply not true.

Cambist.net Exchange Services has had a policy of charging
our cost plus 1%. We recently ended that policy for all
retail customers, because we now provide e-gold at
wholesale to other exchange providers. Our new policy for
e-gold at retail is our cost plus 2%. Very frequently,
our cost is zero to two percent over spot. We consider a
retail purchase to be less than one thousand US dollars
worth of e-gold.

For pre-existing customers who worked with us before this
rate change, the old policy still applies. For wholesale
customers, we now charge 1.25% over spot for amounts
less than US$125000 and 1% over spot for amounts over
US$125K. For orders over US$1.2 million we charge 0.75%.
There will be refinements to this policy, probably to
tie the spot price to the daily London Gold Fix price,
but that's a nuance which will be covered in our terms
and conditions when those are finalized.

For now, if you have a retail or wholesale purchase of
e-gold in mind, you should probably get in touch. But,
I only use this e-mail address ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) for
lists, so please contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
visit our web site. You will find on its contact page
more information on reaching us; similar information can
be found on other sites such as PlanetGold and GoldMoney
listings.

Regards,

Jim
