While we're on the subject of security, can anyone recommend a good list of do's and don'ts for securing a Linux or BSD server? Basically I just obsess over file permissions, setting as many bits zero as possible. If I can get it down to "chmod 600" I'm happy. I also make sure the owners and groups are as restrictive as possible. I'll search around for a good online guide, but I'm just wondering if anybody can recommend something. -- Patrick --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
