Hi Craig,

I couldn't agree more. Profanity is offensive and unwanted (even obvious 
substitutes for oaths can offend), and it dissuade some people from 
inviting the participation of their friends or family in a forum, in front 
of whom it would be an embarrassment to be associated with such bad or foul 
language. Any information (of intensity) swearing does convey, is negated 
by frequency of use, and would be better conveyed by use of a wider 
vocabulary of descriptive words.

BUT, I didn't notice the message that this must have been in response to, 
and as it is off-topic, and it was dealt with over a year ago, and the 
language was largely cleaned up in this list, I shall say no more about it.
