Thanks Sidd for clearing that up for us.

To many assumptions causes very bad communication.

so the PGP private key is also encrypted?

Well then how would you actually get the private key?

I am writing some encrypting stuff that uses RSA and I was hoping to be
able to let people use my public PGP key.  But if I can't import my
private one then that won't work.
