Man -- that "thing", html table, on the URL in question, is NOT a
"balance sheet"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Again - for the third or fourth time - if it is, apart from anything
else, simply state what entity it is a balance sheet of!!!!!!!!!)
I love you, but how often can i mention this man?!
Again: all this talk about "balance sheets" (including but not
limited to theories on what balance sheets are, what they contain,
etc), is just gabble about one of the sub-branches of the internal
arguments on ONE OF the "theories" on What The Extra Gold is.
> Assets = Liabilities + Equity + Slop.

>Nope, I don't like it. I prefer the traditional definition.
:) You're being funny, but "funnily enough" the above is exactly
correct! You're confusing concepts like REPORTING of things under
GAAP, balance sheets, and more. It is perfectly normal, probably
"universal", for a large corporate entity to report on all their bank
account (and all similar) balances and then at the end say
"$1,315--.. unknown! likely due to accounting or rounding errors" or
"unclassified, under investigation" or some similar note.
>Good. Then who owns the extra gold is literally none of our business.
Nah, likely way off man (depending on what the explanation is), and
a bizarre attutude as an e-gold holder!!
The sole purpose of the trust is that it keeps hold of gold bullion,
for e-gold holders.
(The latter group may include you, me, Hilberta de Firas, "e-gold
Ltd", Omnipay, ISL, etc)
You can believe, I want to know every bloody detail about the trust,
inside and out!
1mdc is a large e-gold holder, so maybe it Cares More than others --
but everyone should care.
To make an analogy PC, you've probably owned an apartment -- the
strata body or corpoate body would then be of immense interest to
you! If you found that that entity had a mysterious (fairly large)
asset, liability, or unknown item, I Don't Believe your attitude
would be "it is none of our business" -- you would want to KNOW
what's behind it.
Furthermore, as I've been trying to explain to you, ****YES****,
there are possible explanations for the Mysterious Extra Gold under
which, it is "none of our business." You're totally correct, man.
We could argue about this "thread" for days, and then WITHIN THE
CONTEXT of this "thread," at the end, I'd say "fuck it, Patrick,
you're totally correct, I completely concede, in fact, it's NOT our
business what else the trust does." But .............. so what? It
was all JUST ONE PART of one sub argument about one internal detail
of ONE of the theories on What The Extra Gold Is.
You must see what I mean, my friend.
You don't even have a clue that there "IS" :"extra" bullion in there:
one of the theories that has been bandied about is that the right
hand side lists egold accounts summed, but EXCLUSING certain egold
accounts. In that case there may be no "extra" bullion ... see what
i'm saying?
Now, let's say the explanation to all this is "Ah, JP, you're wrong -
it turns out its NOT the sole purpose of the trust to hold gold
bullion for the e-gold system; in fact it has a secondary purpose,
which is to trade the prioce of gold against Euros, in a separate
account" Ok - fine - whatever, that's the whole point! that
explanation is the same thing as explaining What The Extra Gold Is.
See what I'm saying?
Some facts ..
(*) no one knows What The Extra Gold Is
(*) there ARE NO balance sheets involved, anywhere.
{ I'm not sure who started talking about balance sheets, maybe
someone has been privately shown a balance sheet (of some entity?) by
Jim or something, but it's not anywhere on any web site. (It goes
without saying that the "thing" on that html page is, of course, not
a balance sheet. It's just Some Interesting Facts about some things)
}
(*) No one even knows the *metatruths* about the mystery of the What
The Extra Gold Is. No one can even state, say, whether the right
hand column does or does not include "all" e-gold accounts; whether
"e-gold Ltd" is or is not the same thing as "the SP Trust"; etc etc
etc
Tristan, note the last point in regard to your recent email.
