I have read where that in the USA it is law that any smart card must have a storage system that the government can get into if the card is to take values over $100.00 To which I say, why not issue five cards that are loadable up to $100.00 Have these cards encrypted at about 128 bits, where the government would really need to work to get into any of them. I noticed where one of the smart card companies have a serial attachment that plugs into your computer. The best that I can figure, this is to reload the card over the internet. The page that I checked out, didn't price these inter-phases but I don't believe they would be very high. As usual, the USA has attempted to control every phase of smart-cards. Consequently, we don't have much access to them here in the USA.
I would really appreciate hearing from people on the Gold List that live in Europe. Are smart card flourishing there as we are told here? Does anyone in a safe area know how an E-gold dealer might set something up with an anonymous electronic re-loadable card that could be imported to people in the USA. I am thinking that if the smart Debit card could be loaded over the internet with an infusion, we could all go out and shop with a small portion of offshore money. Each time our card runs low, we go back to our computer watering hole and replenish. I have sent some E-mail to some European companies to find out more information. I don't know if stuff like this intregs any of you market makers in offshore locations, but in case it does, Do your own research on smart cards as I am doing. We can them meet back here and compare ideas about how they might be used to help people who are interested in E-gold. --- You are currently subscribed to e-gold-list as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use e-gold's Secure Randomized Keyboard (SRK) when accessing your e-gold account(s) via the web and shopping cart interfaces to help thwart keystroke loggers and common viruses.
