However, the Average Daily Number of Spends having been calculated from
Weekly figures (divided by 7), downtimes have not really affected the number
of transactions
as uncompleted spends most probably got fulfilled a few hours (in most cases
maximum one day) later.

I really don't have an explanation for the Weekly US$ Spend Values having
gone down as they have since the week ending April 28th all time High with $
27,095,928.

Maybe the demise of the ever increasing OSGold in circulation at that time
(most of which were very much converted to e-gold) could explain the
powerful and steady increase from Jan till May 2002... and the brutal
collapse of Dollar amount averages thereafter
