This should prompt everyone to check the password they have used for the e-gold discussion list, because while even a well chosen dictionary word may be secure enough for a login for a discussion list, a limited number of attempts being practical, it should noted that in effect every word in the body of the message is now an (inadvertent) attempt to include your password as any one of the words.

So, the password should be a true random non-word password, not any word, trademark, model number or anything else that might be contained in an e-mail message body.

I'm glad I used a password generator like Password Creator VERSION: 4.02, by Michael Koszenski, http://www.password-creator.com to choose the password for this and other websites.

I also like the Diceware PassPhrase Generator 1.0.0.19 (c)1998 Anatoly Schnaider and Elise de Groot, but as it generates pronounceable words it is better for other uses.
[Note: The above are for Windows operating systems.]
