Hi Craig, you're as persistent as I am! But...

I like the default reply-to's, etc. and I don't wish to do it. Yes,
I'm old-fashioned, etc. I would, however, offer a reward for a
hack that chopped off *any* text appearing after the words 
"original message" or one that checked (and then preferably
stripped-off!) PGP signatures so people didn't have to send
passwords in the clear (a bad habit, IMO!).

email lists are the reason there's Hotmail, Yahoo, hush, and
other free varieties of email, along with filters, and some of us
LIKE the default of a private reply still, and LIKE to control our
email programs as they were meant to be controlled. Happily,
there are fora available which fit many different needs. Also,
if I were starting up a list and wished to "build up traffic," I'd
*consider* munging the reply-to, but the e-gold list isn't new,
and I really like (well, liked...) it the way it is/was.
