Two things:
A) At the time 3PSecure.com, Ltd. was sold to Crowne Gold
the software beind the system, produced by RandallSquared, was the
absolute best in the industry. No system had more features: it included
emailed payments, various kinds of payment notice and referral notice,
a referral system, two kinds account (similar to checking and savings
accounts), multiple signature balances, and a full featured administration
interface.

It is true that the product that this software was built with, Roxen
Webserver, is no longer supported by its vendor, and it was primarily
on this basis that RandallSquared recommended that a new system be
built with a better prospect of development support in the future.

RandallSquared was not selected for this recommended change, for
reasons unknown to me.

B) "In places where no service could be done" refers to HavenCo,
which is less than ideal for constant maintenence by the owners
of servers based there, but is excellent for privacy. At a time
when 3P was struggling financially, HavenCo's remote location and
relatively high costs were considered a worthwhile investment in
client privacy.
