Dear Friends,

Mariman, of Mariman Center, asks about anonymous debit
cards. Cambist.net offers a debit card which is
useful at point of sale and ATM locations where the
Visa logo is displayed. You can fill the card with
up to $300 for one fee, and up to $600 for another.
The card is not re-chargeable. It is disposable. It
has other features described on our site.

Thanks to Patrick Chkoreff for his quick post to
the same effect.

I apologize for posting the wrong URL for our banners.
Those are at banners.cgi. Best to just go to the
main page and click on the link for banners.

By the way, owing to relic browsers, I've asked that
we develop a text-only alternate to our site's
main content. I hope to see that online pretty
soon.

Nail asks:
I want to get a reply from servers not as pictures,
but as DATA that I can analize and create my own images,
etc.
I couldn't help but smile at the quirky spelling of
analyze. Analysis is often done by the anal retentive,
I guess. Anyway, I've hunted for a data source on
the price of gold for some time. The best I can
tell you is that you can buy the data as text from
kitco.com. There free data is available only in
image form which makes it difficult to translate.
I guess one could use an OCR to grab it from the
images, but that seems tedious. Probably also violates
their terms of use.

George Matyjewicz writes:
They found a way to get the information - from Mastercard.
Aha. Well, I guess that's a card to avoid from
offshore banks.

Of course, I don't agree with the fishing expedition the
Department of Justice has pursued in this regard. It
seems to me that subpoenas and warrants should specify
the evidence being sought and the wrongdoing alleged
against a specific perpetrator. It is sad to see
the power of government corrupted to such evil
ends.

Regards,

Jim
