It seems the US of A is broke and going broker. One reason is it is the highest corporate taxation nation in the world. Combine corporate taxes with the never ending stream of regulatory bodies and you have a government pushing business out of the country just to survive, financially. Couple this with the contingency based lawsuits and you have the worst financial climate in the world to do business. Now if you were a bankrupt country, and you know all of your wealth was parading to Mexico, China, the offshore havens etc. What could you do to stop this? Well call everything under the sun, money laundering. I would recommend reading the last chapter of Richard Rahn's book, "The end of money and the struggle for financial privacy". Since when did we give someone the power to tell us how to spend our own wealth? It was estimated that on a personal level since 1986 over $8 trillion USD have expatriated the US in search of a safer holding place. THe IRS sure would like to beat the other government agencies to this loot, as they all are about stealing it if they can not gain it through legit means. Their stealing has become legit through the lawmakers in DC. How does this help this community battle against deemed enemies (which change almost weekly) classified by a rogue government? A government fueled by bankers and their quest to provide debt as an instrument of exchange, who have to police the world because the medium of exchange is a worthless note called the USD with only the US military to secure it. So today it is Iraq, yesterday it was Afghanistan, before that it was OBL, before that it was... So what do you do? No matter what, the rules will continue to tighten around free market mediums until the initiater of these laws collapses and free markets rule again. In prior decades it was the druggies who were the money launderers, now it is the terrorists, next it will be the same honest people who want to make, keep and spend their own wealth the way they damn well please.
