It was recently reported that eBay's privacy policy offers no protection for the privacy of their users. Anyone posing as a law enforcement officer for any sort of agency anywhere in the world can send a fax to eBay, according to the story, and get full details on any user, any bids he's posted, any information he's disclosed to eBay, any feedback on his auctions, and so forth.
In contrast, http://goldbarter.com/ has a serious and legitimate privacy policy which is about privacy.
