You'll get no argument from me. (His father was George HW Bush, so he really isn't junior.) Also the list moderator would prefer that we include discussion of money on this list. I'll reiterate that spending *money* on any candidate's campaign is a waste, but campaign finance "laws" can be circumvented using $20 gold coins pre-1933.

You don't need to. Visit http://cambist.net/ to see the Dow:Au ratio, along with a perpetual page about what it all means.
In the not too distant future, we expect to run the figures into a chart from the present date to show the ratio changing graphically. A later enhancement will show the historical data going back to 1976 - when USA residents were "allowed" to own gold again.
