One of our hgosting clients tried something similar and seems to have gotten away with it for quite a while as well. In fact it worked great until someone posted the same remark in *their* guestbook. Once someone said that everyone could claim ignorance [which strictly doesn't protect you from prosecution anyway], nobody could claim ignorance anymore and our client mailed us to shut down the site. Tongue-in-cheek remarks can mean the difference between legally tolerated and prosecution initiated. It a bit like taxation issues really. If you find a way to legally avoid taxation by a good mix of company structures and ignorance, it's great until the day you tell someone how *kewl* you are. From that second on it becomes illegal to use. Example, if you instruct your company agent [ie, the guy who keeps your corporate records, etc.] to send you a bill for goods to be delivered directly to you and then buy those goods from somewhere else and cross bill them to save tax, then that's dodgy and questionable, BUT for the agent it's legal, cause all he did was bill you for goods you bought with your company. Once you tell the agent how great you are and what you did, the agent is breaking the law by not reporting you, geddit? So even if the agent is reasonably aware of what you are doing, he can't be held responsible until you tell him what you are doing. Same thing in this situation. Now, I'm not a legal expert and the above is my personal perception and might be completely wrong in your jurisdiction and I wrote it for entertainment purposes only. Cheers, Robert S.
