No doubt about it, Hussien models himself after the great
fascist dictators, and his way of doing things is everything a
freedom loving American is taught from childhood to hate.
Cleaning one more of such regimes off the planet is definitely
taking out the garbage, and is one of many good reasons to take
positive control by extreme force over the Mideast.
Here is one I think might be the most important. In
1971, an agreement was made with OPEC that only dollars can be
used to buy oil. That monopolist franchise has kept the dollar
as the most desired form of money on earth, as those who would
buy oil from OPEC must first get some dollars to do it, and so
will trade in dollars among themselves. Dollars are not backed
by anything, but are more like checks written on an empty
account, and we have been printing them up by the shipload. We
are also the most indebted nation on earth, so the dollar's
strength depends on its being traded by others, and not brought
back to the bank. In 1999, Saddam Hussein broke ranks with
OPEC, and began to accept the EURO for his oil. That is the one
thing we cannot permit. His alleged weapons are trivial.
Though we can not stand up and say so, that is what the war is
really about, and that is why France, Germany, and the others of
the EU oppose us. If we permit Hussein to deal directly with
the EU's currency, and the other OPEC nations follow suit, then
the dollar will lose its most important franchise in the oil
market, and instead of trading it among themselves, other
countries will bring the dollars back to cash their checks, and
the jig will be up. The Euro would become the dominant currency
in the world, the UN would become the most powerful political
structure in the world, and the US would enter a severe
depression only a form of very oppressive social control would
survive.
The prompt and decisive punishment -- and it is exactly
that -- of Saddam Hussein will keep all the other OPEC nations
in line, and the dollar securely the principal currency of the
world, and the US military the dominant force in the world, and
the US government the most powerful political body. Hussein is
just the boy who must be whipped. The real enemy is the EU, who
would love to see our dollar hit the skids, and our nation
reduced to a desk at the UN. The choice before us is to take
world control, or lose it. Now.
