This is odd, as e-gold doesn't email passphrases. Usually if they snail mail it, it works, are you saying it took three tries? >Now, at least supposedly from e-gold, a message that I had $996.00 >deposited in my e-gold account from fraudulent sources arrived in my >email this morning, May 29, with a send and respond-by date and time to >expire yesterday, May 28th. This kind of e-mail is guaranteed never to be from e-gold. The simple way to tell? If it asks you to login from it, it's fraud. Use your BOOKMARKS/FAVORITES to hit the e-gold site and read the animated gif's security warnings, along with the others at http://www.e-gold.com/unsecure/alert.html (the red link on the home page). >Has anyone else on this list had this expereince with e-gold? With You're experience is with spammers, not e-gold. I can send an email appearing to be [EMAIL PROTECTED] but that does not make Jim Ray the president of the United States! >other online financial service suppliers? http://theregister.co.uk/content/55/30770.html and http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/55/30837.html from ONE news-source, and I could go on, but google's your friend if you want to know more about the issue. >I was leary of such activity when I set up a trial account with e-gold. >Now I amdownright unable to trust e-gold, at least, if not all online >financial enterprises. > >Any comment? Yes. Delete spam unread, and look at Jim's collection of security-links to protect yourself. Thanks.
