Newsflash: the greatest reversible/repudiable payment system ever on the planet, is credit cards -- Visa and MC.
You very simply will never be able to improve on them. (How? Greater penetration? lol. or what? how could it be improved on?)
If you need that sort of business model, use credit cards, and enjoy.
Regarding the (novel, new in the last few years) idea of NON-reversible/repudiable systems -- they're not reversible/repudiable.
They'll never be, in any way, the same as or have any of the qualities, at all, of reversible/repudiable systems.
